Baby snacks!

So, as you maybe know I have a lot of sisters--I mean a lot! One of them is a baby, so she eats mushy stuff and puffy things most of the time. This week my mom said I didn't have to do my normal language arts book if I compared and contrasted some of her food. So, here is my review of her baby food pouches. For a review of the puffy things she sometimes eats, go to my mom's blog:

I tested three pouches because that is what we had in the pantry. We have had other brands in the past, but these were the ones we had now. I tried a Babies R Us, Beechnut, and Delmonte.

Here are my findings and some pictures:
Babies R Us
 size 4 ounces
 price, on sale, 50 cents
 comes in BPA free pouch
Designed for babies 6 months and up-my baby sister is 11 months, and she didn't know how to suck on            these until last month one day--could just be her though
At first I thought this one was really runny, but then my mom thought to shake it up and it wasn't, so shake
     this brand before opening
When I looked at it, it had tiny specks of something in it--probably apples since it wasn't peas.
It smells like grass and bad peas.
The taste was very peaish, not like an apple at all.

Left was before shaking--see how much it spread? Right was after.

Beechnut
size 4 ounces
 price, on sale, 50 cents
 comes in BPA free pouch
Designed for babies 12 months and up
This one looked smooth, but kind of like applesauce too.
It smells like applesauce too, which is kind of weird because there are no apples in it.
The taste was like an apple and banana mixed.

DelMonte--these are not really sold as baby food
size 3.2 ounces
price, 67 cents, there might be sales on these to make them cheaper, but we have never looked--they were
just free when we bought some fruit cups for picnics so we had them
 comes in BPA free pouch
I think this looks like a dead slug when I squeeze it out! That made me not want to eat it, but I did.
  It smells like strawberry.
The taste was sludgy, tangy, and sweet.

Here are all three lined up. I liked the Beechnut brand the best, but my mom says that might have just been the flavor and next time we do this we will have to get the same flavor in all of them.

Sam's Southern Eatery Shreveport, LA (not sure which location though--it was by a hospital)

                                                    http://www.samssoutherneatery.com/

I recently stopped at a run-down place to eat. I didn't want to stop because
it didn't really look safe or good to me.

The menu and some chicken my dad ordered. The chicken was pretty greasy, and I don't like big chicken wings like that very much. My mom and dad both loved the food they got though.

Here are some of the run-down things I noticed. The glass was foggy and there was broken glass in the flower bed outside, the trim was broken, even the bench was broken.

Here is the cashier/worker guy. He was talking on the phone the whole time we were here which was
like an hour or two. I don't think that is good manners. At Chick-fil-a and Taco Bell and stuff
people don't talk on the phone so long.

Taco Bell--again!

Taco Bell has some new grillers.  They have beefy nacho, spicy buffalo chicken, and loaded potato.  The cashier said the best was the loaded potato.  I think the best was beefy nacho.  It was delicious.  It had red nachos inside and cheesy sauce.  It was so good.  The potato one reminded me of tator tots which I don't really like.  The spicy chicken one was a little bit too spicy for me--I like spicy stuff, but not that.  I would recommend you try them.

CiCi's Pizza 140 W. FM 1382 Cedar Hill, TX

I love to go to CiCi's, but since my toddler sister can't have dairy or wheat, we don't get to go very often anymore. Since our change bank was full the other night, we went though!  I like trying the different pizzas and stuff the best.  Plus I can eat as much as I want so long as I don't get sick.  My one sister brought back an entire plate of desserts!  She said she was going to share them, but then ate all of them except the one thing she didn't like which she gave the toddler who then got rashy and grumpy.  I liked these things they had this time when we first got there that tasted like bread sticks but looks more like the cinnamon rolls.  They ran out and didn't make more though.

Arby's 222 E FM 1382 Cedar Hill, TX

Not too long ago, Arby's was letting us try their new sandwiches.  Normally, I don't really like to eat there.  I ordered the Grand Turkey Club.  Can you tell I like bacon?  It was good because it had so much bacon!  My cool mom also ordered me a milkshake even though I had to share with my goobery sisters.  It was really good too.  I don't think their fries are all that good though.

Dick's Uptown Cafe 610 Uptown Blvd. Cedar Hill, TX

After Cedar Day on the Hill, we went to Dick's Uptown Cafe.  Since I am getting older I decided not to order from the kid's menu.  So, I tried the BLT.  It came with Fritos, a sandwich, and a pickle.  It was really good.  It had so much bacon!  The tomato didn't taste quite ripe though so I took it off.  I gave mom my pickle too because I don't like them.  I also tried some of her taco salad. It was pretty good, but I don't rememebr it as much as my bacon!  She really liked the special ranch dressing on it though--she talked about it the whole time.

Win Bob's 327 Rankin Avenue, Dunlap, TN

We went to Win Bob's when I was visiting my Go-Go and Choo-Choo.  They had this really cool challenge where you could eat a burger as big as your face and a pound of french fries.  If you win, then you get your picture on the wall.  It cost 11 dollars or something.  My dad did the challenge.  And he won just in time!  I had a burger half as big as my face.  It was really good.  I had some fries too.  They were pretty good.  Choo-Choo had this burger with cheese sticks and BBQ sauce and stuff.  It looked pretty good too.

Campuzano Mexican Food 213 West Belt Line Road, Cedar Hill, TX

I went here for dinner before a program at the library the other night.  It was delicious and the chips were soooo goooood.  They say they have world famous nachos, but I don't know why.  I loved the enchiladas.  They were delicious.  They were just a little bit soggy, that's all.  Tonight my mom made a taco casserole and the cornbread on it was delicious, but Campuzano's food was better!

Chuck E. Cheese 2400 Richmond Road, Texarkana

The pizza here was really good--even my mom and dad liked it okay.  The games had good service.  There were signs with a new Chuck E. Cheese picture.  He looked kind of weird and different, but that is probably because I am not used to it.  Here is a picture  of him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Chuck_E._Cheese_2012.jpg
My mom says he looks too real and it creeps her out.

The Country Bakery 6190 Austin Tracy Road, Austin, KY

I had a cinnamon pecan roll for dessert before my meal.  It was delicious.  They also had pizza and sandwiches.  The food was really good.  For lunch I had a slice of pizza.  It had cheese and pepperoni.  Basically your normal pizza except better quality.  It took sort of long for the pizza to come (45 minutes) but when it did, it was delicious.  Since it took so long, I think it was fresh.

Mad Mushroom 720 Northwestern Ave, West Lafayette

I went to visit Purdue and they had a Mad Mushroom Pizza place.  I ordered pepperoni with sausage.  It was really good, but my sister ate the last piece.  So, then I had my mom and dad's pizza. (Philly Cheesesteak)  It was really good, especially the white sauce.  They also had a little arcade with about two tiny computer games and two actual arcade games.

Top That! Pizza 3300 E. Broad Street Mansfield, TX

Friday we tried a new pizza place since we were at the water park and then got hungry.  It was called Top That! Pizza.  Basically you got to choose any toppings you want for no extra price.  It is really cool.  They have lots of crusts and sauces and cheeses too.  Up on their TV screen menu they have little pictures and stories about people who came there.  They're kind of funny.  They are only about two sentences each.  It was so good we took daddy back on Sunday for dinner.  He put all kinds of stuff on his pizza like artichokes and olives.  I hope we go back here one day.

Taco Bell Beefy Nacho Burrito

Taco Bell is still one of my favorite places to eat.  About one week ago I tried the Beefy Nacho Burrito.  It is really good even if the nachos aren't as crunchy as when you get them and bite them.  I like the taste and that it was really messy.  It just tastes really good.

They also have a Doritos Locos taco which is basically a normal taco but with a Doritos shell.  It is really good too.

Dunkin Donuts Uptown Blvd, Cedar Hill, TX

I like Dunkin Donuts.  They have really good donuts.  I had a chocolate frosted cake donut.  It was really good.  They also have rainbow sprinkle donuts and chocolate creme donuts.  They have a really big variety of donuts.  There is also a Baskin Robbins in the restuarant and it has cakes.  One looks like a root beer float, and it is supposed to be for Father's Day.

My Secret Toast Recipe

I had a secret toast recipe.  My sister stole it and uses it every day she has toast now though.  She even wrote it down and showed it to someone!  Can you believe that?  So, I decided to post the recipe here.  Then I decided it wouldn' be very secret if it went out to the public, so I am not going to post it.  If you want me to make it for you when I visit, I will though.  It goes great with my sister's famous scrambled egg recipe!

What I like about pizza

Today I am going to tell you about five yummy pizzas I have had.  Some are better than the others and some are best.  Some are affordable and some are not affordable.  But still, all of them taste good.

Pizza Hut is home of the famous stuffed crust pizza.  The last time I had pizza from Pizza Hut, it had sausage on it and was not stuffed.  The sausage was so good.  I like that their pizza looks cool.  Sometimes they have awesome tables down in a little window, but some don't have tables.  The taste, especially the stuffed crust, is so good.

Costco Pizza is affordable.  It tastes good.  I like that the pepperoni is just enough spiciness that it is spicy enough to taste it, but it doesn't set your tongue on fire like other pizzas.

Sam's Pizzeria had big slices of stuffed pizza.  I had a pepperoni slice of pizza.  They are very big, and they taste really good.  The pepperoni inside and the extra Parmesan on the top crust made it taste really good.

Chuck E. Cheese has pretty small pieces.  It tastes delicious though.  I like that they have an arcade too.

Kids Cuisine makes a stuffed crust pizza meal.  This made me full sort of.  It tastes great, but it was a little bit cold.

In summary, if you are looking for yummy pizza buy the Pizza Hut stuffed crust with sausage. If you are looking for cheap pizza go to Costco because they are huge for a low price.  If you are like me and love pizza, it really doesn't matter which one you choose, because pizza is good.

Eggies

The other day my mom and I tried out Eggies.  They are supposed to let you make eggs without the shells.  They didn't turn out as they were supposed to like the box said.  They are about 10 dollars.  I don't think I would buy something that doesn't work whatsoever for ten dollars.  Basically you screwed together the top and bottom parts, then dumped in an egg, then put on the top, then boiled them.  My mom says there were way too many pieces to wash--24--so she will give these back to her friend and make eggs the gadget-free way.

Amico's Pizza 4032 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, Texas

It was pretty good.  Their dessert (caramel cheesecake) was delicious.  The pizza lasted really long because it was cut into little strips and my dad only let me have one piece at a time, so it lasted pretty long.  I give it 4.5 stars.  Apparently it must have been brand new or the guy who ran it must have been around for a really long time because the picture on the window looked exactly like him carrying a pizza and wearing a chef's hat.

Boomarang Diner 305 W Gentry Ave Checotah, OK 74426

Boomerang's has really good food.  They even have biscuits and gravy with sausage for lunch.  That was my favorite part.  The biscuits are really light and fluffy, and the gravy tastes delicious with the sausage in it.  I give it five stars.

Krispy Kreme 150 Tanger Blvd.

They have these red velvet cake doughnuts that taste like cake and frosting and sprinkles.  And then they have really really good snowman doughnuts.  And raspberry filled doughnuts.  The cool part was there's this lady named Mrs. Claus and she hands out free samples of doughnuts.  And they have this window where you can watch it where the doughnuts get made.  And some doughnuts don't even make it to get glazed--that is really sad to think about.  At the end they spit them off--lots of them--I think it is a really bad waste.  I give it 4.75 stars.
